ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಸನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕನನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನನ್ನೂ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯನನ್ನೂ ಕೆರೇತ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಪೆಲೇತ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿ ಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

42ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡು ತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಯಾಜಕನಾಗಿರುವ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ಬಂದನು. ಅದೋನೀ ಯನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಒಳಗೆ ಬಾ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿ, ಒಳ್ಳೇ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತೀ ಅಂದನು.
43ಆಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅದೋನೀಯನಿಗೆ--ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯ ನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
44ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಸನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕನನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನನ್ನೂ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯನನ್ನೂ ಕೆರೇತ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಪೆಲೇತ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿ ಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
45ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಹೇಸರಕತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿಸಿ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕನೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಗೀಹೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರಲು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವರು ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಡುತ್ತಾ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಕಾರಣ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಗದ್ದಲ ವಾಯಿತು.
46ನೀವು ಕೇಳುವ ಶಬ್ದವು ಇದೇ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
