ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅಹೀಯನಿಗೆಇಗೋ, ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪತ್ನಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ರೋಗದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನೀನು ಅವ ಳಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು, ಅವಳು ಒಳಗೆ ಬರುವಾಗ ಮತ್ತೊ ಬ್ಬಳ ಹಾಗೆ ವೇಷ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವಳು ಅಂದನು.

- 4ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪತ್ನಿಯು ಎದ್ದು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿ ಶೀಲೋವಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಹೀಯನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಳು. ಆದರೆ ಅಹೀಯನು ನೋಡಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ವೃದ್ಧಾಪ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಿದ್ದವು.
- 5ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅಹೀಯನಿಗೆಇಗೋ, ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪತ್ನಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ರೋಗದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನೀನು ಅವ ಳಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು, ಅವಳು ಒಳಗೆ ಬರುವಾಗ ಮತ್ತೊ ಬ್ಬಳ ಹಾಗೆ ವೇಷ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವಳು ಅಂದನು.
- 6ಅವಳು ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವಾಗ ಅಹೀಯನು ಅವಳ ಪಾದಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಲೇ--ಯಾರೊ ಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪತ್ನಿಯೇ ಒಳಗೆ ಬಾ; ನೀನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬಳೆಂದು ತೋರಮಾಡುವದು ಯಾಕೆ? ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಮಾತು ಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ನನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
- 7ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು-- ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುವದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ನಾನು ಜನರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎತ್ತಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಯಕನಾಗ ಮಾಡಿ ದಾವೀದನ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ಕೊಂಡು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು.
