2. 26ನೀನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊ ಳ್ಳಲು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಅವಳಿಗೆ--ನಿನಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮವೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ಗಂಡನಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮವೋ? ಮಗುವಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮವೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳು ಅಂದನು.
3. 27ಅವಳು--ಕ್ಷೇಮವು ಅಂದಳು. ಅವಳು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ, ದೇವರ ಮನು ಷ್ಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಳು. ಆದರೆ ಅವಳನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಲು ಗೇಹಜಿಯು ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದ ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು--ಅವಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡು; ಅವಳ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದುಃಖವಿದೆ; ಕರ್ತನು ಅದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸದೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
4. 28ಆಗ ಅವಳು--ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಿಂದ ಕುಮಾರನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡೆನೋ? ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೋಸಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಡ ವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅಂದಳು.
5. 29ಆಗ ಅವನು ಗೇಹಜಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ನಡುವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು. ನಿನಗೆ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ವಂದಿಸಬೇಡ; ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಂದಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ಹೇಳಬೇಡ; ನನ್ನ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಆ ಹುಡುಗನ ಮುಖದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕು ಅಂದನು.
