2. 5ಆದರೆ ಗಾದ್‌ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿರದೆ ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಬಾ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಹೊರಟು ಹೆರೆತ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು.
3. 6ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡವಿರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರೆಂಬ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಸೌಲನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. (ಸೌಲನು ಗಿಬೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡನು; ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು.)
4. 7ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ--ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ನಡಿಸು ವಂತೆ ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನು ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೊಲ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವನೋ? ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಜಮಾನರಾಗಿಯೂ ನೂರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಜಮಾನರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇಡುವನೋ?
5. 8ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನೂ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನನ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಚಿಂತಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕ ನನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಯಾವನೂ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
