1. 1ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ,ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಆಕೀಷನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರೂ ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅಂದನು.
2. 2ದಾವೀದನು ಆಕೀಷನಿಗೆ--ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನು ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ ಅಂದನು. ಆಕೀಷನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಲೆಗಾವಲಿಯವನಾಗಿರಲು ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
3. 3ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಸತ್ತು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದನು; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗೋಳಾಡಿ ಅವನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೌಲನು ಯಕ್ಷಿಣಿಗಾರರನ್ನೂ ಮಂತ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ್ದನು.
