1. 12ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಸಮುವೇಲನನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಮಹಾ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿ ದಳು. ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು--ಯಾಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡಿದಿ? ನೀನು ಸೌಲನು ಅಂದಳು.
2. 13ಅರಸನು ಅವಳಿಗೆಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ. ನೀನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ--ದೇವರುಗಳು ಭೂಮಿ ಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದೆನು ಅಂದಳು.
3. 14ಆಗ ಅವನು--ಅವನ ರೂಪವೇನೆಂದು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅವಳು--ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊದ್ದಿರುವ ಮುದಿ ಪ್ರಾಯದವನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನು ಷ್ಯನು ಏರಿ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದಳು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಸಮುವೇಲನೆಂದು ಸೌಲನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಮೋರೆ ಕೆಳಗಾಗಿ ನೆಲದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ಬಾಗಿ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದನು.
4. 15ಆಗ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಏರಿ ಬರ ಮಾಡಿ ಯಾಕೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸಿದಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೌಲನು--ನಾನು ಬಹಳ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದನು. ಆತನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ವಾದರೂ ಸ್ವಪ್ನದ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾದರೂ ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮಾಡ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿದೆನು ಅಂದನು.
5. 16ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಶತ್ರುವಾಗಿರುವಾಗ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದು ಯಾಕೆ? ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ;
