ಅವನು ಎಲೀಯನಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆಹೋಗಿ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತನು.

- 11ಅವರು ನಡೆದು ಬಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವಾಗ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಇಗೋ, ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ರಥವೂ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಕುದುರೆ ಗಳೂ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಿದವು; ಎಲೀಯನು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಹೋದನು.
- 12ಎಲೀ ಷನು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ--ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ರಥವೇ, ಅದರ ಕುದುರೆ ರಾಹುತರಾಗಿದ್ದವನೇ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದನು. ಮತ್ತೆ ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಎರಡು ತುಂಡಾಗಿ ಹರಿದನು.
- 13ಅವನು ಎಲೀಯನಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆಹೋಗಿ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತನು.
- 14ಎಲೀಯನಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನೀರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು--ಎಲೀಯನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಎಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು ಹಾಗೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅದು ಎರಡು ಭಾಗವಾದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಎಲೀ ಷನು ದಾಟಿಹೋದನು.
- 15ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದುರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ--ಎಲೀಯನ ಆತ್ಮನು ಎಲೀಷನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿರುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಾಷ್ಟಾಂಗನಮಸ್ಕಾರಮಾಡಿದರು.
