2. 21ದಾವೀದನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರಲಾರದೆ ದಣಿದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬೆಸೋರಿನ ಹಳ್ಳದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಜನ ರನ್ನೂ ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೋದರು. ದಾವೀದನು ಆ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಅವರ ಕ್ಷೇಮಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
3. 22ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಾದ ಬೆಲಿಯಾಳನ ಜನರು--ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ತಿರಿಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಿ ಅಂದರು.
4. 23ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದಾವೀದನು--ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿ ನಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬಂದ ಈ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕರ್ತನು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀವು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಕೇಳುವರು?
