ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಮೂರು ದಿವಸಗಳಾದ ತರುವಾಯ ತಿರಿಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದರು.

- 4ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಈಗ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ತನ್ನ ಭಾರವಾದ ನೊಗವನ್ನೂ ಹಗುರ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವೆವು ಅಂದರು.
- 5ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಮೂರು ದಿವಸಗಳಾದ ತರುವಾಯ ತಿರಿಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದರು.
- 6ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಬದುಕಿರುವಾಗ ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ-- ಈ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರಕೊಡಲು ನೀವು ಏನು ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀರಿ ಅಂದನು.
- 7ಅವರು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಈ ಜನರಿಗೆ ದಯವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ಅವ ರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡಿದರೆ ಅವರು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾಗಿರುವರು ಅಂದರು.
