ಅರಸನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸು ವಾಗ ಕಾವಲಿನವರು ಬಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು; ಕಾವಲಿನವರು ಚಾವಡಿಗೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿತಂದರು.

- 10ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತಾಮ್ರದ ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅರಸನು ಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಲನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವ ಕಾವಲಿನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ದನು.

- 12ಅವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿತು; ಆತನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದನು; ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನಡೆದವು.
- 13ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಳಿದನು. ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೊಂದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಲು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಆದುಕೊಂಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನೇಳು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ನಯಮಾ; ಅವಳು ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
