ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ಯೆಹೂ ದದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗೆ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಆಸನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮಿನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟನು.
