ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯ ವನ್ನಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇರೊಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟುಸಾರಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಡಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.

- 14ಅವನು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ವಿಾಕಾಯೆಹುವೇ, ನಾವು ರಾಮೋತ್‌ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಾವು ಹೋಗುವದು ಬೇಡವೋ? ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು--ಹೋಗಿ ಜಯಹೊಂದಿರಿ, ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವರು ಅಂದನು.
- 15ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯ ವನ್ನಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇರೊಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟುಸಾರಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಡಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.
- 16ಅದ ಕ್ಕವನು--ಕಾಯುವವನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಚದರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು--ಇವರಿಗೆ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಇಲ್ಲ; ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
- 17ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ--ಇವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುವನೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ ಅಂದನು.
