Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they [be] in Hazazon-tamar, which [is] En-gedi.

2. 2ಆಗ ಕೆಲವರು ಬಂದು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ--ಸಮು ದ್ರದ ಆಚೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅರಾಮಿನ ಬಹುಗುಂಪು ಈ ಕಡೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ಇಗೋ, ಅವರು ಏಂಗೆದಿ ಎಂಬ ಹಚೆಚೋನ್‌ ತಾಮಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾ ರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
3. 3ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಾರಿಸಿದನು.
4. 4ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದ ದವರು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಬಂದರು.
