ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ಬರುವ ನೀರು ನಿಂತು ಬಹು ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾರೆತಾನಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಆದಾಮ್‌ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು ರಾಶಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿತು. ಕೆಳಗಣ ನೀರು ಉಪ್ಪು ಸಮುದ್ರವೆಂಬ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹರಿದು ಹೋಯಿತು.ಆಗ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಹೊರುವ ಯಾಜಕರು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಒಣಗಿದ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಧೃಡವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು.
