ಯೆಹೂದದವರು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರುವ ಬುರುಜಿನ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದರು; ಇಗೋ, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ತಪ್ಪದ ಹಾಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೆಣಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

- 23ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್‌, ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸೇಯಾರ್‌ ಪರ್ವತದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ನಿಂತರು. ಅವರು ಸೇಯಾರಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ತರುವಾಯ ತಾವೇ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

- 25ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಅವರ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಮಾಡಲು ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ಹೆಣ ಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಿಯವಾದ ಆಭರಣ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ತಾವು ಹೊರ ಲಾರದಷ್ಟು ಸುಲುಕೊಂಡರು. ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯು ಅಷ್ಟು ಅಧಿಕವಾದದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಮೂರು ದಿವಸಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ಸುಲುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
- 26ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದಿವಸ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಬೆರಾಕವೆಂಬ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿದರು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆರಾಕ ತಗ್ಗು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
