ಆಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಅಜರ್ಯನೂ ಯಾಜಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವ ನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹಣೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಷ್ಠವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ದೊಬ್ಬಿಹಾಕಿದರು. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ತ್ವರೆಪಟ್ಟನು.

- 19ಆಗ ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನು ಕೋಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡನು; ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಸುಡಲು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧೂಪಾರತಿ ಇತ್ತು. ಅವನು ಯಾಜಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಧೂಪಪೀಠದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತ ಯಾಜಕರ ಮುಂದೆ ಅವನ ಹಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಷ್ಠವು ಎದ್ದಿತು.
- 20ಆಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಅಜರ್ಯನೂ ಯಾಜಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವ ನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹಣೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಷ್ಠವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ದೊಬ್ಬಿಹಾಕಿದರು. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ತ್ವರೆಪಟ್ಟನು.
- 21ಅರಸನಾದ ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನು ಸಾಯುವ ದಿವಸದ ವರೆಗೂ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗವುಳ್ಳವನಾದದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾದ ಮನೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋತಾಮನು ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದು ದೇಶದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದನು.
- 22ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು, ಮೊದಲನೆ ಯವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಡೆಯವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಮೋಚನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಬರೆದನು. ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನು ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗಿದನು;ಅವರು ಅರಸುಗಳಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಸ್ಮಶಾನ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ--ಅವನು ಕುಷ್ಠ ರೋಗವುಳ್ಳವನು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಯೋತಾಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಆಳಿದನು.
