Then Uzziah was wroth, and [had] a censer in his hand to burn incense: and while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the LORD, from beside the incense altar.

2. 18ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನೇ, ಕರ್ತ ನಿಗೆ ಧೂಪಸುಡುವದು ನಿನಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಲ್ಲ; ಧೂಪ ಸುಡುವದು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಯಾಜಕರಾದ ಆರೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದು; ನೀನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗು; ನೀನು ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ. ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಇದು ನಿನಗೆ ಮಾನವಲ್ಲ ಅಂದರು.
3. 19ಆಗ ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನು ಕೋಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡನು; ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಸುಡಲು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧೂಪಾರತಿ ಇತ್ತು. ಅವನು ಯಾಜಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಧೂಪಪೀಠದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತ ಯಾಜಕರ ಮುಂದೆ ಅವನ ಹಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಷ್ಠವು ಎದ್ದಿತು.
4. 20ಆಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಅಜರ್ಯನೂ ಯಾಜಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವ ನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹಣೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಷ್ಠವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ದೊಬ್ಬಿಹಾಕಿದರು. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ತ್ವರೆಪಟ್ಟನು.
5. 21ಅರಸನಾದ ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನು ಸಾಯುವ ದಿವಸದ ವರೆಗೂ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗವುಳ್ಳವನಾದದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾದ ಮನೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋತಾಮನು ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದು ದೇಶದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದನು.
