ಆಗ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳವಾದ ಮೋರೀಯಾ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ ಯೆಬೂಸಿ ಯನಾದ ಒರ್ನಾನನ ಕಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.

King James Version (KJV): Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where [the Lord] appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

3ದೇವರ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಹಾಕಿ ಸಿದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳು ಏನಂದರೆ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಅಳತೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿ ಅದರ ಉದ್ದ ಅರವತ್ತು ಮೊಳವು ಅಗಲ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮೊಳವು.
