ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಆಳಿಕೆಯ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ವರುಷದ ಎರಡನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಎರಡನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.

1ಆಗ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳವಾದ ಮೋರೀಯಾ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ ಯೆಬೂಸಿ ಯನಾದ ಒರ್ನಾನನ ಕಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
2ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಆಳಿಕೆಯ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ವರುಷದ ಎರಡನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಎರಡನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
3ದೇವರ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಹಾಕಿ ಸಿದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳು ಏನಂದರೆ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಅಳತೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿ ಅದರ ಉದ್ದ ಅರವತ್ತು ಮೊಳವು ಅಗಲ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮೊಳವು.
4ಮುಂದೆ ಇರುವ ದ್ವಾರಾಂಗಳ ಆಲಯದ ಅಗಲದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮೊಳ ಉದ್ದವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮತ್ತು ನೂರ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮೊಳ ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಒಳಗಡೆ ಶುದ್ಧ ಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದ ಹೊದಿಗಿಸಿದನು.
