1. 2ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿ ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಭೆಯೂ ಎರಡನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಸ್ಕವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿ ಸಲು ಯೋಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
2. 3ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯಾಜಕರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕಹಾಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದ ರಿಂದಲೂ ಜನರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.
3. 4ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಭೆ ಯವರಿಗೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆಯಾಯಿತು.
4. 5ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪಸ್ಕವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬವು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ದಾನಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗಿ ಸಾರಲು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿ ಸಿದರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಬಹು ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ.
5. 6ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ದೂತರು ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅರಸನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೋಗಿ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ್‌ ಇಸಾಕ್‌ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿರಿ. ಆಗ ಆತನೂ ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉಳಿದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗುವನು.
