ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಚೆ ಇರುವ ಸೀಮೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವೆವೆಂಬ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಮಗುಂಟು; ಆದರೆ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರ ಮೇರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವವುಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದವುಗಳೆಂದು ನಾವು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

- 17ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಪಡುವವನು ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡಲಿ.ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಯೋಗ್ಯ ನಲ್ಲ; ಕರ್ತನು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳುತ್ತಾನೋ ಅವನೇ ಯೋಗ್ಯನು.
- 18ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಯೋಗ್ಯ ನಲ್ಲ; ಕರ್ತನು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳುತ್ತಾನೋ ಅವನೇ ಯೋಗ್ಯನು.
