1. 1ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹಾಬನಿಗೆ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಯೇಹುವು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇಜ್ರೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗೂ ಹಿರಿ ಯರಿಗೂ ಅಹಾಬನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವವರಿಗೂ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ಸಮಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--
2. 2ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಕುಮಾರರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ರಥಗಳೂ ಕುದುರೆಗಳೂ ಕೋಟೆಯೂ ಆಯುಧಗಳೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಉಂಟು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಈ ಪತ್ರವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ
3. 3ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜ ಮಾನನ ಕುಮಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮನಾಗಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮರ್ಥನಾಗಿರುವವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂಡ್ರಿಸಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.
4. 4ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು--ಇಗೋ, ಇಬ್ಬರು ಅರಸು ಗಳು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದರು; ನಾವು ನಿಲ್ಲುವದು ಹೇಗೆ ಅಂದರು.
