ಆಗ ಯೇಹುವೂ ರೆಕಾಬನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋನಾದಾಬನೂ ಬಾಳನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ದರು. ಅವರು ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವವರ ಹೊರತು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಕರ್ತನ ಸೇವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಇರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಶೋಧಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

21ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದರು. ಯೇಹುವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಂದರು. ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಬಾಳನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದಾಗ ಒಂದು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕಡೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಬಾಳನ ಮನೆಯು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು.
22ಆಗ ಅವನು ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವವನಿಗೆ ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದನು.
23ಆಗ ಯೇಹುವೂ ರೆಕಾಬನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋನಾದಾಬನೂ ಬಾಳನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ದರು. ಅವರು ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವವರ ಹೊರತು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಕರ್ತನ ಸೇವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಇರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಶೋಧಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
24ಅವರು ಬಲಿಗ ಳನ್ನೂ ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇ ಶಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಹುವು ಹೊರಗೆ ಎಂಭತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರೆ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಈಡಾಗಿ ರುವದು ಅಂದನು.
25ಅವನು ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಯೇಹುವು ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೂನೀವು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯಾವನೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಾರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
