ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸುಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಳಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ ಯೆಹೋರಾಮನೂ ಅಹ ಜ್ಯನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಸಕಲ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದನು.

- 20ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರು ಎದ್ದು ಒಳಸಂಚುಮಾಡಿ ಸಿಲ್ಲಾಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗುವ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾದ ಮಿಲ್ಲೋವು ಎಂಬ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು.ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಶಿಮೆಯಾತನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೊಜಾಕಾರನೂ, ಶೋಮೇರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋ ಜಾಬಾದನೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಸತ್ತುಹೋದನು. ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸ್ಮಶಾನ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು; ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಮಚ್ಯನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
