1. 14ಆಗ ಎಲೀಷನು ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ವ್ಯಾಧಿ ಯಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ತಾಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋವಾಷನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಅತ್ತು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ರಥವೂ ಅದರ ಕುದುರೆ ರಾಹುತನೂ ಆದವನೇ ಅಂದನು.
2. 15ಆಗ ಎಲೀಷನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನೂ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೋ ಅಂದನು.
3. 16ಅವನು ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಬಿಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಿಸು ಅಂದನು.
4. 17ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿದನು. ಎಲೀಷನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಕೈಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು--ಮೂಡಲಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಿಟಕಿಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು ತೆರೆದನು. ಎಲೀಷನು--ಎಸೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು ಎಸೆದನು. ಇದು ಕರ್ತನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಬಾಣ; ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಬಾಣವೇ, ಏನಂದರೆ ಅಫೇಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆ ಯುವಿ ಅಂದನು.
5. 18ಅವನು--ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೋ ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ -- ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆ ಅಂದನು.
