ಆಗ ಮೆನಹೇಮನು ತಿಪ್ಸಹನ್ನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ತಿರ್ಚ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಅದರ ಮೇರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತನಗೆ ತೆರೆಯದೆ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದನು; ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸೀಳಿಸಿದನು.

- 16ಆಗ ಮೆನಹೇಮನು ತಿಪ್ಸಹನ್ನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ತಿರ್ಚ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಅದರ ಮೇರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತನಗೆ ತೆರೆಯದೆ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದನು; ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸೀಳಿಸಿದನು.
- 17ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಜರ್ಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಮೂವತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾದಿಯ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಮೆನಹೇಮನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳ ಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು.
- 18ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
