ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Avanu kartana drushtiyalli kettaddannu maadidanu; avanu tanna divasagalallellaa israayelannu paapamaadalu prerepisida nebaatana maganaada yaarobbaamana paapagalannu toredubidalilla.

- 19ಆದರೆ ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಪೂಲನು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದನು. ಆಗ ಮೆನಹೇಮನು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧೃಢಪಡಿಸಲು ಅವನ ಕೈ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಪೂಲನಿಗೆ ಸಾವಿರ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ತಲಾಂತು ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
- 20ಮೆನಹೇಮನು ಈ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನವರಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು. ಹೇಗಂದರೆ, ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತ ರಿಂದ ತಲಾ ಐವತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಶೆಕೇಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನು ದೇಶ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
