ರೆಮಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪೆಕಹನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹದಿನೇಳನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವ ಯೋತಾಮನ ಮಗನಾದ ಆಹಾಜನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah Ahaz the son of Jotham king of Judah began to reign.
ಆಹಾಜನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿ ಸಿದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನಾರು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು.
Twenty years old [was] Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not [that which was] right in the sight of the LORD his God, like David his father.
ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಹಾಗೆ ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೇಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿ ತುಳಿಯ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಹಸುರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೂ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಧೂಪವನ್ನೂ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
ಅವನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಚೀ ನನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದಂಥ ರೆಮಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪೆಕಹನೂ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಲು ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆಹಾಜನನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು; ಆದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದರು.
Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome [him].
ಅದೇ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಚೀನನು ಏಲ ತನ್ನು ಅರಾಮಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಏಲತಿನಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು; ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ಏಲತಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from Elath: and the Syrians came to Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.
ಆದರೆ ಆಹಾಜನು ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ತಿಗ್ಲತ್ಪಿಲೇ ಸೆರನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಗೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಗೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಬರ ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು.
So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, I [am] thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಹಾಜನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿ ಸಿದನು.
And Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king’s house, and sent [it for] a present to the king of Assyria.
ಆಗ ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನು ಅವನ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳಿ ದಮಸ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅದರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೀರ್‌ ಪ್ರಾಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ತಂದು ರೆಚೀನನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದನು.
And the king of Assyria hearkened unto him: for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried [the people of] it captive to Kir, and slew Rezin.
ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಹಾಜನು ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ತಿಗ್ಲತ್ಪಿಲೇಸೆರನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ದಮಸ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು. ಆಗ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಆಹಾಜನು ಆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ರೂಪವನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೈ ಕೆಲಸದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾದರಿಯನ್ನೂ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಊರೀಯನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and saw an altar that [was] at Damascus: and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.
ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಊರೀಯನು ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಹಾಜನು ದಮಸ್ಕದಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಒಂದು ಬಲಿ ಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಹಾಜನು ದಮಸ್ಕದಿಂದ ಬಂದಾಗ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಊರೀಯನು ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು.
And Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made [it] against king Ahaz came from Damascus.
ಅರಸನು ದಮಸ್ಕದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲಿ ಯನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
And when the king was come from Damascus, the king saw the altar: and the king approached to the altar, and offered thereon.
ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ದಹನ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನೂ ಆಹಾರ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸುಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಪಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಯಿದನು. ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಬಲಿ ಗಳ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಚಿಮಿಕಿಸಿದನು.
And he burnt his burnt offering and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, upon the altar.
ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಹಿತ್ತಾಳೆಯ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಅವನು ಮನೆಯ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಿಂದಲೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಗೂ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಕ್ಕೂ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ತಂದು ಅದನ್ನು ಈ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟನು.
And he brought also the brasen altar, which [was] before the LORD, from the forefront of the house, from between the altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of the altar.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಹಾಜನು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಊರೀಯನಿಗೆ --ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ಆಹಾರ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅರಸನ ದಹನಬಲಿ ಯನ್ನೂ ಆಹಾರ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ದೇಶದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರ ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಆಹಾರ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಯನ್ನೂ ಪಾನಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಟ್ಟು ದಹನಬಲಿಯ ರಕ್ತವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಬಲಿಯ ರಕ್ತವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಚಿಮಿಕಿಸು; ಆದರೆ ಹಿತ್ತಾಳೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವು ನಾನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಇರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king’s burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire [by].
ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಹಾಜನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಊರೀಯನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
Thus did Urijah the priest, according to all that king Ahaz commanded.
ಇದ ಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಹಾಜನು ಆಧಾರದ ಅಂಚುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ದು ಗಂಗಾಳವನ್ನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಸಮುದ್ರ ಎಂಬ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಅದರ ಕೆಳಗಿರುವ ತಾಮ್ರದ ಎತ್ತುಗಳ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಇಳಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳ ಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟನು.
And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brasen oxen that [were] under it, and put it upon a pavement of stones.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಇದ್ದ ಒಪ್ಪಾರನ್ನೂ ಹೊರಗಿದ್ದ ಅರಸನ ಪ್ರವೇಶವನ್ನೂ ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದನು.
And the covert for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king’s entry without, turned he from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.
ಆದರೆ ಆಹಾಜನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸುಗಳ ವೃತಾಂತಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?ಆಹಾಜನು ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ನಿದ್ರಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ದಾವೀ ದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸ್ಮಶಾನ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
ಆಹಾಜನು ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ನಿದ್ರಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ದಾವೀ ದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸ್ಮಶಾನ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
