ಆದರೆ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಆವರಣದ ಮಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮುಂಚೆ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ--

- 2ಆಗ ಅವನು ಗೋಡೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿ--
- 3ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಾನು ಸತ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದು ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ನೆನಸು ಅಂದನು. ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತನು.
- 4ಆದರೆ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಆವರಣದ ಮಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮುಂಚೆ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ--
- 5ನೀನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ನಾಯಕನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಮೂರನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಿ.
- 6ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹದಿನೈದು ವರುಷ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಗೆ ಬೀಳದಂತೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು. ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಾಪಾಡುವೆನೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂಬದೇ.
