ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀ ಮನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಫರೋಹನೆಕೋವಿನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವನು ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಪ್ಪವನ್ನು ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರ ವನ್ನೂ ನೇಕೊವೆಂಬ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇಶದ ಜನರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ತೆರಿಗೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬಲವಂತವಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡನು.
Yehoyaakee manu belliyannoo bangaaravannoo pharohanige kottanu. Pharohanekovina aajnyeya prakaara avanu hanavannu koduvante deshakke kappavannu nishkarshe maadidanu. Avanu belliyannoo bangaara vannoo nekovemba pharohanige koduva haage deshada janarinda prati manushyana terigeya prakaara balavantavaagi takkondanu.

- 36ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ ರೂಮದ ಪೆದಾಯನ ಮಗಳು ಜೆಬೂದಾಳೆಂಬವಳು.ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಳು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
