ಆದರೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ನದಿ ಮೊದಲು ಗೊಂಡು ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್‌ ನದಿಯ ವರೆಗೂ ಐಗು ಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದನು.

- 8ಯೆಹೋಯಾಖೀನನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಎಲ್ನಾತಾನನ ಮಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು ನೆಹು ಷ್ಟಾಳೆಂಬವಳು.
- 9ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
