1. 19ಕರ್ತನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನೆಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಯೆಹೂದವನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸಲು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದನು.
2. 20ಅವನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಕೈಕೆಳಗಿದ್ದ ಎದೋಮ್ಯರು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ತಮಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅರಸ ನನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
3. 21ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋ ರಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಥಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಚಾಯಾರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಎದೋಮ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ರಥಗಳ ಯಜಮಾನರನ್ನೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.
4. 22ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಡೇರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು. ಆದರೆ ಎದೋಮು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಕೈಕೆಳಗೆ ಇರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಈ ವರೆಗೂ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಕಾಲ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಲಿಬ್ನ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಿತ್ತು.
5. 23ಯೆಹೋರಾಮನ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ಅರಸುಗಳ ವೃತಾಂತಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪ ಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
