3. 3ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲಿನ ದಂಡಿನಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದೆನು ಅಂದನು.
4. 4ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಡೆದ ವರ್ತಮಾನವೇನು? ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು--ಜನರು ಯುದ್ಧದಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು; ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಸತ್ತುಬಿದ್ದರು; ಸೌಲನೂ ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋನಾ ತಾನನೂ ಸತ್ತರು ಅಂದನು.
