ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಚಾದೋಕನೂ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನೂ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.

30ದಾವೀದನು ಅಳುತ್ತಾ ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಬರಿಗಾಲಾಗಿ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಮರಗಳ ಗುಡ್ಡವನ್ನು ಏರಿದನು; ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಳುತ್ತಾ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆರಿದರು.
31ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋ ಮನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳಸಂಚಿನವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾ ನೆಂದು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ದಾವೀದನು--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಚ್ಚುತನವಾಗ ಮಾಡು ಅಂದನು.
