1. 16ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಇಂಥಿಂಥ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಹೇಳಿದೆನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ತ್ವರೆ ಯಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಬೈಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಗಬೇಡ; ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡವಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೂ ನಾಶವಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೇಗ ದಾಟಿಹೋಗು ಅಂದನು.
2. 17ಆದರೆ ಯೋನಾತಾನನೂ ಅಹೀಮಾ ಚನೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಯಾರೂ ನೋಡ ದಂತೆ ಎನ್ರೋಗೆಲಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ದಾಸಿಯು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
3. 18ಆದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹುಡುಗನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅಬ್ಷಾ ಲೋಮನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರು ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಹುರೀಮಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಅಂಗಳ ದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದರು.
4. 19ಆಗ ಆ ಮನೆ ಯವಳು ಬಾವಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದು ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹಾಸಿ ನುಚ್ಚನ್ನು ಹರವಿಬಿಟ್ಟಳು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯ ತಿಳಿ ಯದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು.
5. 20ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಸೇವಕರು ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು--ಅಹೀಮಾ ಚನೂ ಯೋನಾತಾನನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವಳು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಹಳ್ಳವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಹೋದರು ಅಂದಳು. ಅವರು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದರು.
