ಅದಕ್ಕವನುನಾನೇ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಬಲಗಡೆಗಾದರೂ ಎಡಗಡೆಗಾದರೂ ತಿರುಗಿ ಯೌವ ನಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅವನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೋ ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅಸಾಹೇಲನು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದನು.

Adakkavanunaane andanu. Aaga abneranu avanige--neenu balagadegaadaroo edagadegaadaroo tirugi yauva nastharalli obbanannu hididu avana aayudhagalannu takko andanu. Aadare asaahelanu avana hindininda tirugalollade iddanu.

20ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ನೋಡಿನೀನು ಅಸಾಹೇಲನಲ್ಲವೇ ಅಂದನು.
21ಅದಕ್ಕವನುನಾನೇ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಬಲಗಡೆಗಾದರೂ ಎಡಗಡೆಗಾದರೂ ತಿರುಗಿ ಯೌವ ನಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅವನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೋ ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅಸಾಹೇಲನು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದನು.
22ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ಅಸಾಹೇಲನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗು; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಬಿಡುವದು ಯಾಕೆ? ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋ ದರನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ ಮುಖತೋರಿಸುವದು ಹೇಗೆ ಅಂದನು.
23ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪದೆಹೋದದರಿಂದ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ತನ್ನ ಬರ್ಜಿಯ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದ ಮೊನೆಯಿಂದ ಅವನ ಪಕ್ಕೆಯ ಐದನೇ ಎಲುಬಿನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಯುವಂತೆ ತಿವಿದನು; ಅದು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂತು. ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತನು. ಆಗ ಏನಾಯಿಯತಂದರೆ ಅಸಾಹೇಲನು ಬಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ತ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ನಿಂತರು.
