ಯೋವಾಬನು ಅಬ್ನೇರನ ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ದಾವೀದನ ಸೇವಕ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ಜನರೂ ಅಸಾಹೇಲನೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

28ಹೀಗೆ ಯೋವಾಬನು ತುತೂರಿಯನ್ನು ಊದಿ ದನು. ಆಗ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಂತರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಲಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
29ಅಬ್ನೇ ರನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದು ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಬಿಥ್ರೋನಿನಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾದು ಮಹನಯಿಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
30ಯೋವಾಬನು ಅಬ್ನೇರನ ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ದಾವೀದನ ಸೇವಕ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ಜನರೂ ಅಸಾಹೇಲನೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
31ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನ ಸೇವಕರು ಬೆನ್ಯಾ ವಿಾನ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಬ್ನೇರನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮುನ್ನೂರ ಅರವತ್ತು ಜನರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಸತ್ತರು.ಅವರು ಅಸಾಹೇಲನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು. ಯೋವಾಬನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆದು ಉದಯವಾದಾಗ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
32ಅವರು ಅಸಾಹೇಲನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು. ಯೋವಾಬನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆದು ಉದಯವಾದಾಗ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
