ಆಗ ಅವಳು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ಪೂರ್ವ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಮಾತು ಏನಂದರೆ, ಅವರು ಆಬೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕಾರ್ಯ ತೀರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.

Aaga avalu maatanaadi--poorva dalli maatanaaduva maatu enandare, avaru aabelinalli nishchayavaagi keli haageye kaarya teerisikolluvaru.

16ಆಗ ಜ್ಞಾನವುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿಂದ--ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ನಾನು ಯೋವಾಬನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಸವಿಾಪಿ ಸಲು ಬರಹೇಳಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಳು.
17ಅವನು ಸವಿಾಪ ಬಂದಾಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು--ನೀನು ಯೋವಾಬನೋ ಅಂದಳು. ಅವನು--ನಾನೇ ಅಂದನು. ಅವಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕಳ ಮಾತು ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು ಅಂದಳು. ಅವನು--ನಾನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
18ಆಗ ಅವಳು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ಪೂರ್ವ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಮಾತು ಏನಂದರೆ, ಅವರು ಆಬೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕಾರ್ಯ ತೀರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
19ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಾ ಧಾನವುಳ್ಳವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಳಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನೀನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಿಯಂತಿ ರುವ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತೀ. ನೀನು ಕರ್ತನ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ನುಂಗುವದೇಕೆ ಅಂದಳು.
20ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನನಗೆ ಅದು ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ, ನುಂಗುವದೂ ಕೆಡಿಸುವದೂ ನನಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
