ಯೋವಾಬನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಸೈನ್ಯವೂ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ--ನೇರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು; ಅವನು ಇವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದರು.

Yovaabanoo avana sangada idda sainyavoo bandaaga avaru yovaabanige--nerana maganaada abneranu arasana balige bandanu; avanu ivanannu kaluhisibittaddarinda samaadhaanavaagi hogiddaane andaru.

21ಆಗ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಇಚ್ಚಿ ಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಾನು ಎದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವೆನು ಅಂದನು. ದಾವೀದನು ಅಬ್ನೇರನಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
22ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ದಾವೀದನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಯೋವಾ ಬನೂ ಒಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬಹಳ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು ಇವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇವನು ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
23ಯೋವಾಬನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಸೈನ್ಯವೂ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ--ನೇರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು; ಅವನು ಇವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದರು.
24ಆಗ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದಿ? ಇಗೋ, ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು; ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿಬಿಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಯಾಕೆ?
25ನೇರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬ್ನೇರನನ್ನು ನೀನು ಅರಿತಿದ್ದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ. ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೋಸಗೊಳಿಸಲು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊರಡು ವಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಬರುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿಯುವಂತೆಯೂ ನೀನು ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಬಂದಿದ್ದನು ಅಂದನು.
