ಆಗ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ಈಷ್ಬೋ ಶೆತನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡದೆ ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ಯೆಹೂದವನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಯಾದ ಸೌಲನ ಮನೆಗೂ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೂ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೂ ದಯೆತೋರಿಸಿದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಈ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಎಣಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ನಾಯಿಯ ತಲೆಯೋ?

King James Version (KJV): Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, [Am] I a dog’s head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman?
World English Bible (WEB): Then Abner was very angry about Ishbosheth’s words, and said, “Am I a dog’s head that belongs to Judah? Today I show kindness to your father Saul’s house, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David; and yet you charge me today with a fault concerning this woman!

6ಸೌಲನ ಮನೆಗೂ ದಾವೀದನ ಮನೆಗೂ ಯುದ್ಧವುನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಅಬ್ನೇ ರನು ಸೌಲನ ಮನೆಗಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡನು.
7ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ ಅಯಾಹನ ಮಗಳಾದ ರಿಚ್ಪಳೆಂಬ ಉಪಪತ್ನಿ ಇದ್ದಳು. ಈಷ್ಬೋಶೆತನು ಅಬ್ನೇರ ನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದೇನು ಅಂದನು.

9ನಾನು ಸೌಲನ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕರ್ತನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವನ್ನು ದಾನಿನಿಂದ ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬದ ವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ
