ಅದು ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯ ಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಪಟ್ಟಣವೂ ವಲಸೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳವೂ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಕೆಲವು ದಿವಸ ಇದ್ದೆವು.

- 12ಅದು ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯ ಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಪಟ್ಟಣವೂ ವಲಸೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳವೂ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಕೆಲವು ದಿವಸ ಇದ್ದೆವು.
- 13ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನದೀತೀರದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೆವು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಡಿಕೆಯಂತೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಕೂತು ಕೊಂಡು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದೆವು.
- 14ದೇವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸು ತ್ತಿದ್ದವಳೂ ಥುವತೈರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವಳೂ ಧೂಮ್ರ ವರ್ಣದ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವಳೂ ಆದ ಲುದ್ಯ ಳೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು. ಕರ್ತನು ಆಕೆಯ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ತೆರದ ದ್ದರಿಂದ ಪೌಲನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಲ
