1. 7ಅವನು ಬಂದಾಗ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ತಾವು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಿಕ್ಕಾಗದ ಅನೇಕ ಕಠಿಣ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೌಲನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
2. 8ಆಗ ಪೌಲನು--ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯಾಗಲೀ ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯಾಗಲೀ ಮಾತ್ರ ವಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯಾಗಲೀ ನಾನು ಯಾವ ತಪ್ಪನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
3. 9ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಫೆಸ್ತನು ಪೌಲನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ವಿದೆಯೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
4. 10ಆಗ ಪೌಲನು--ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡತಕ್ಕ ಕೈಸರನ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಸನದ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾನು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬದು ನಿನಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದದೆ.
5. 11ನಾನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯಮಾಡಿದವ ನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಯಾವದನ್ನಾದರೂ ನಡಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ ಸಾಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಬೇಡವೆನ್ನುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ತಪ್ಪು ಹೊರಿಸುವವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲಾರನು; ನಾನು ಕೈಸರ
