3. 43ಆದರೆ ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ತಡೆದು ಈಜು ಬಲ್ಲವರು ಮೊದಲು ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಧುಮುಕ ಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂಉಳಿದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಹಡಗಿನ ತುಂಡುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತೀರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ತೀರಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದರು.
4. 44ಉಳಿದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಹಡಗಿನ ತುಂಡುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತೀರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ತೀರಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದರು.
