ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇತಾಲ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುವ ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರಿಯದ ಒಂದು ಹಡಗನ್ನು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ಕಂಡು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿಸಿದನು.

Alli itaalyakke samudra prayaana maaduva aleksaandriyada ondu hadagannu shataadhipatiyu kandu adaralli nammannu hattisidanu.

4ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಾವು ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಎದುರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಇದ್ದದ ರಿಂದ ಕುಪ್ರದ ಮರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿದೆವು.
5ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾವು ಕಿಲಿಕ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪಂಪುಲ್ಯದ ಸಮುದ್ರಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಲುಕೀಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಮುರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದೆವು.
6ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇತಾಲ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುವ ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರಿಯದ ಒಂದು ಹಡಗನ್ನು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ಕಂಡು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿಸಿದನು.
7ನಾವು ಅನೇಕ ದಿವಸ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗಿದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಎದುರುಗಾಳಿಯ ದೆಸೆ ಯಿಂದ ಸಲ್ಮೊನೆಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಕ್ರೇತದ ಮರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದೆವು;
8ಅದನ್ನು ದಾಟುವದು ಕಷ್ಟವಾದದರಿಂದ ಚಂದರೇವುಗಳೆಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿ ದೆವು; ಲಸಾಯವೆಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸವಿಾಪವಾಗಿದೆ.
