1. 23ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭದ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರು ಬಾಗಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವದನ್ನೂ ನಾವು ಕಂಡೆವು; ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಾಗ ನಾವು ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಒಳಗೆ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
2. 24ಆಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನೂ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರೂ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಇದರಿಂದ ಏನು ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾದೀತು ಎಂದು ಅವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂದೇಹಪಟ್ಟರು.
3. 25ಆಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಬಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನೀವು ಸೆರೆಯ ಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು.
4. 26ಆಗ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವೇನೂ ಮಾಡದೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರತಂದನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಜನರು ತಮಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆದಾರು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.
5. 27ಅವರು ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲ ರನ್ನು ಕರತಂದು ಆಲೋಚನಾಸಭೆಯ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಆಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು--
