ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಆತ್ಮ ಉಂಟೆಂದೂ ಬೆಳಕೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇವೆ ಎಂದೂ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

12ಬೆಲ್ಶೆಚ್ಚರನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಅರಸನಿಂದ ಪಡೆದ ಆ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಸುಗಳ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಮರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುವ ದಕ್ಕೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಆತ್ಮವೂ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ವಿವೇಕವೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ದವು ಅಂದಳು. ಈಗ ಆ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿ ಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಈ ಬರಹದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವನು ಅಂದಳು.
13ಆಗ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ತರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು. ಅರಸನು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ--ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಯೆಹೂದದಿಂದ ತಂದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಸೆರೆಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ನೀನೋ?
14ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಆತ್ಮ ಉಂಟೆಂದೂ ಬೆಳಕೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇವೆ ಎಂದೂ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
15ಈಗ ಈ ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಓದುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೂ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯರಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಆದರೆ ಇದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದರು.
16ನೀನು ಅರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವದ ರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುವದರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಮರ್ಥನೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಹೀಗಾದರೆ ಆ ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಓದುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಧೂಮ್ರವಸ್ತ್ರ ಧರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಹಾರ ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಯಾಗುವಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
