ನೀನು ಅರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವದ ರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುವದರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಮರ್ಥನೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಹೀಗಾದರೆ ಆ ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಓದುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಧೂಮ್ರವಸ್ತ್ರ ಧರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಹಾರ ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಯಾಗುವಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

- 17ಆಗ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ದಾನಗಳು ನಿನಗಿರಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡು, ನಾನು ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು ವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
- 18ಓ ಅರಸನೇ, ಮಹೋನ್ನತನಾದ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಮಹತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಘನ ವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
