3. 17ಆಗ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ದಾನಗಳು ನಿನಗಿರಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡು, ನಾನು ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು ವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
4. 18ಓ ಅರಸನೇ, ಮಹೋನ್ನತನಾದ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಮಹತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಘನ ವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
5. 19ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಹ ತ್ತಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೂ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೂ ಭಾಷೆಯವರೂ ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೆದರಿ ನಡುಗಿ ದರು; ತನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದವರನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸಿ ಬೇಡವಾದ ವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದನು, ಇಷ್ಟವಿದ್ದವರನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ ದವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
