ಇದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿ ನೀವು ಕೇಳದೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಧೈರ್ಯಮಾಡಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೇರಿದಿರಿ.

- 42ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ--ಹೋಗಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡ ಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆಯ ಲ್ಪಡುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು.
- 43ಇದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿ ನೀವು ಕೇಳದೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಧೈರ್ಯಮಾಡಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೇರಿದಿರಿ.
- 44ಆಗ ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವ ಅಮೋರಿಯರು ನಿಮ್ಮೆದುರಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟು ಜೇನು ಹುಳಗಳು ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆನ್ನುಹತ್ತಿ ಸೇಯಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರ್ಮದ ಪರ್ಯಂತರ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಹಾರಮಾಡಿದರು.
- 45ಆಗ ನೀವು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಗೋಳಾಡಿದಿರಿ; ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಕಾದೇಶಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬಹಳ ದಿವಸ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದಿರಿ.
