ಮೃಗಜಾತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊರ ಸೆಯು ಭೇದಿಸಿರುವ ಆ ಭೇದವನ್ನು ಎರಡು ಗೊರಸೆ ಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕುವಂಥ ಮೃಗಗಳ ನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀವು ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದು.

- 7ಆದರೆ ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕಿ ಉಗುರುಳ್ಳ ಗೊರಸೆಯನ್ನು ಭೇದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು; ಯಾವ ವೆಂದರೆ: ಒಂಟೆ, ಮೊಲ, ಕುಣಿಮೊಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವು ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕಿದರೂ ಗೊರಸೆಯನ್ನು ಭೇದಿಸು ವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿವೆ.
- 8ಹಂದಿಯನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು. ಅದು ಗೊರಸೆ ಭೇದಿಸಿದರೂ ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧವೇ. ಅವುಗಳ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು. ಅವುಗಳ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಬಾರದು.
